Eiríkur's Glacier from Sheepfold Tarn. In this sketch made by Jónas on 20/21 September 1841, the view is taken due south. Eiríkur's Glacier (Eiríksjökull), about 18 kilometers away, occupies the right half of the sketch; to its left (and farther in the distance) is a portion of Long Glacier (Langjökull), known in Jónas's day as Bald Glacier (Baldjökull); between them (and curving off to the right behind Eiríkur's Glacier) is the cul-de-sac known as Glacier Crook (Jökulkrókur).
