Librarians Recommend Reading!

RecReads2013

Apparently, librarians like to read.

The Librarians’ Assembly of the UW–Madison Libraries recently published their list of Recommended Reads for 2013. Karen Dunn, Information Services Librarian at Steenbock Library, gathered the list from bookworms around campus so that these avid readers could then convene around lunch, cookies, and other treats to discuss the books. Discussion was mainly limited to the enjoyment of the book, so no spoilers here!

Some of the books included are: The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman, Life after Life by Kate Atkinson, Tell the Wolves I’m Home by Carol Rifka Brunt, Geek Love by Katherine Dunn, Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford, Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein, and The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. And that’s just a sampling!

Looking for a book to curl up with over winter break? We think the Librarians’ Assembly List of Recommended Reads 2013 will help quite a bit! There’s a long list, so keep checking our Pinterest page for new titles and your winter reading list will be set!
