Library course reserves is one of many campus services that can help you connect your students to course materials. The Libraries are also glad to assist you with finding materials to make available to students in other ways. Arrange for a consultation with a librarian to talk about how the Libraries can best help you.
Libraries can help you:
Here are quick links to some campus library pages with information for faculty/instructors regarding reserves.
If your departmental library is not listed consult the Campus Libraries page or contact us.
UW Libraries Course Reading Lists is the primary access point for course reserves. Reading lists include materials (print and audio-visual) on reserve in library facilities, as well as e-books available through the library catalog. Course-specific reading lists can be embedded into your Canvas course.
Other instructional resources can also be customized for your course, such as selected journal databases and websites, tips and techniques for effective library research, and contact information for personal assistance. This material has been moved from Library Course Pages and will now be developed using Research Guides. Instructors interested in having additional course material developed may contact the Libraries’ Teaching & Learning Coordinator at 262-4308, or fill out this request form and a librarian will contact you.
