Appeal of Library Charges

Fines are created when you return items past the due date or you lose or damage an item. An appeal is a request to have the total amount of fines reduced.

* All students, staff, and faculty are eligible for a one-time appeal of overdue fines up to $50. After that, the Libraries grant appeals only for extenuating circumstances.

What is the Appeal Process?

  1. Complete the form below.
  2. Circulation Support staff will review your library account and determine the amount they can waive.
  3. Circulation Support staff will email you the results of your appeal request. 
  4. Pay any remaining balance.
