Chemistry Information Commons is partnership between the Chemistry Department and the UW-Madison Libraries that promotes collaboration, inquiry, and interaction. Located on the 2nd floor of the Chemistry Building’s North Tower, this modern space provides a place for students and staff to work, study, and collaborate. The Chemistry Librarian’s office is embedded in the Commons in order to provide point-of-need assistance to researchers. The full suite of services and spaces within the Commons are provided below.
UW-Madison Libraries provide online access to scholarly literature and other research resources. Chemistry literature and databases with chemical structure searching are available for public use within the Commons.
The Chemistry Librarian’s office is located in the Information Commons. She can provide a wide array of research services as well as chemistry information expertise.
A small reference book collection is available in the Information Commons, primarily consisting of handbooks, indexes, and reference titles not available online. Items are in-library use only.
