Countdown to the House Party!

The Helen C. House Party is less than a week away! Please make plans to join us for an evening of games, food, and fun, on Thursday, September 10, from 7-11 p.m. There will be a Texas hold ’em poker tournament with space for 100 people to vie for the grand prize (a reserved table of one’s choice at the library – designated hours, all semester long). Other fun activities include:
- Ninja tag (winning team members get a coupon for one free poster printing)
- Bibliodefenders, an augmented reality game played with iPhones (provided)
- video gaming (PS3 “Beatles Rock Band,” XBox 360 “NCAA 2010,” Wii “Mario Kart” and “Boom Blox“)
- free food (pizza, subs, tacos, popcorn, Pepsi products, etc.)
- music (WSUM and a 2nd floor dance party)
- a movie (Iron Man in Room 3191)
- arts-n-crafts (design your own tote bag, friendship bracelets, origami)
- balloon animals
- pick-a-duck game
- palm readings
- cotton candy
- door prizes,
