Remodeling Progress – Nearly Done

As anyone who visits College Library can see, the summer remodeling project has made a lot of progress recently. The new main service desk, which handles both reference and circulation, is now in place and the new printing/copying area has been getting quite a workout these past few days. But a reminder that things are not yet 100% complete. Electricians are still drilling for more electrical outlets, computers on the north side of the lobby need to be networked, not all of the furniture has been delivered, and, of course, signage still needs to be put in place.

But, there is light at the end of the tunnel and we hope all of these details will be finished by the end of September when we start to welcome our new partners in this space. We’ve gotten some feedback that users are impressed with our efforts, a recent comment card noted, “I think the library is cool … thanks for changing the front desk.” We can honestly say, “It was our pleasure!”
