Celebrating Helen C.’s Birthday
In honor of Helen C. White’s 115th birthday this month, College Library staff gave away 115 cupcakes (in less than 20 minutes) on Wednesday, Nov. 30. Helen, who was born in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1896, was the the first woman to earn the rank of full professor in the UW-Madison’s College of Letters and Science.
