College Library Recognizes Student Assistants
At the semi-annual Student Appreciation Party, the director of College Library, Carrie Kruse, presented “Student Assistant Excellence-in-Service” awards to Drew Bollinger and Ashley Guy. Both recipients exemplify the library’s service ethos. Drew, who works in the Computer & Media Center, was nominated for his computing expertise, his ability to help patrons with a variety of technical questions, and his outstanding work ethic. According to permanent staff, “No matter the project or problem, we’ve always been able to count on Drew to eagerly volunteer to take it on and complete it quickly and professionally.” Ashley, who is a graduate student in the School of Library & Information Studies, works as a Late Evening Reference Assistant at the library. Her general air of unflappability and commitment to reference service, singled her out as especially deserving of this award.
We sincerely thank all of the student assistants who do so much to make College Library an outstanding facility dedicated to serving the undergraduate population at the University of Wisconsin.
