Post-Thanksgiving Hours

College Library will close at 5pm on Wednesday, Nov. 25, in preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday, although it will resume normal hours on Friday, Nov. 27. As UW-Madison prepares the planned transition to remote instruction following the Thanksgiving break, the Libraries recognize that the need for onsite services such as study space, research access, and equipment checkout, remain a priority for the campus community – especially for the students who live in the Madison area and those in campus housing. College Library will continue its now-standard fall semester hours through Dec. 18, with expanded weekend hours on Dec. 11 & 12. (Instead of 1 to 5pm, the library will be open 9am to 5pm.) Please visit our hours page for more complete information, and note that from Dec. 19 through Jan. 3, College Library will be closed to the public. 

While campus makes this shift, please remember College Library will have study space available, but if you need other assistance, you are encouraged to use our robust online and virtual services, rather than coming to campus.
