New Overnight Supervisor!
Nick Brockley is joining College Library’s team as the new Overnight Supervisor starting Monday, August 29th. He faces two weeks of intensive training during daytime hours before transitioning to overnight shifts on Sunday, Sept. 11th, when College Library begins its 24/5 schedule for the fall semester.
Nick is currently enrolled at Madison College, where he is pursuing a degree in IT Networking. He most recently worked as a Shop Supervisor at Walmart’s Auto Care Center. Prior to that, Nick was a 3rd shift supervisor, handling security and care at a residential facility for Rock Valley Community Programs. In that role, Nick helped people transition from prison back to lives in the community. His blend of service mindset, security experience, and curiosity make him a great fit to support College Library patrons and student staff.
He notes, “As a former security supervisor for a care-based residential facility, I am confident that I can remain calm during an emergency and make decisions that help people stay safe.” Although school and work leave little time for extra-curricular activities, in his spare time Nick enjoys card games and working on vehicles.
Please join us in welcoming Nick to College Library. His training and experience ensure that the library is in good hands during the overnight hours.
