Construction Noise

Drilling has returned to College Library. Once again the parking structure beneath Helen C. White Hall is undergoing concrete remediation to ensure the building remains stable for the next 50 years. This process involves removing concrete, repairing structural supports, and resurfacing the ceiling of the upper parking garage.

In addition to the loss of parking spaces for the public, the process may increase noise levels in the library beginning at 6:30 a.m. Drilling is intermittent and should end by 3:30 p.m. most weekdays. If the noise is an issue, we encourage patrons to visit our Locations page for other library options. No construction work is expected to occur on evenings or weekends.

 The expected date for the project to be completed is December 9, 2022.
