Statistical Abstract of the United States is the authoritative and comprehensive summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States. When the U.S. Government stopped printing this seminal research tool, a commercial publisher picked it up, greatly enhancing its searching and downloading capabilities. The current edition includes some charts that extend back to the 18th century as well as projections into the next 50 years.
