Special Order of the Chancellor

Under authority vested in me by the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconisin System and under sec. UWS 18.06(7), Wisconin Administrative Code, the following described facility at the University of Wisconsin-Madison shall be closed until further notice to all persons except for those specifically authorized by this order to be present: Memorial Library, 728 State Street, Madison.

The following persons are authorized to be present in this facility during the closed period: Students enrolled at, and faculty and staff employed by, a University of Wisconsin System institution who can present a currently valid identification card issued by that institution, and members of the general public who can present a currently valid Memorial Library card. Take notice that violators of this order are subject to arrest and prosecution and upon conviction may be fined not more that $500 or imprisoned not more than 90 dates or both (sec. UWS 18.07, Wisc. Adm. Code.)

Effective date: This order shall become effective on August 26, 1979 and shall remain in effect until rescinded by the Chancellor. Signed July 15, 1979 by Irving Shain.
