Meet Your Makers … of Edible Books
Have you wanted to enter the Edible Book Festival, but didn’t feel you had ideas of what you wanted to make, or how you could make an edible book? Or just looking for something different to do on a (most likely chilly frigid) Saturday morning?
This year, UW–Madison Libraries are teaming up with the Madison Public Library to put on a workshop on creating edible books!
What is an edible book? Food inspired by or in the image of a book, of course!
Attend a workshop this Saturday to see examples of winners from past years, learn how to choose a book that will make a splash, and get tips on what makes a stand-out entry. Techniques will be demonstrated–then you will have hands-on time to try out your ideas on actual food. Previous winners will be available to give advice and show you techniques. All materials will be provided. The Edible Book Festival is a family-friendly event, open to all.
