University Archives Open House: Black Student Strike at the UW-Madison
The University Archives invites all into our Reading Room to view and discuss documents and artifacts from the February-March 1969 UW Black Student Strike. Student Historian in Residence Rena Yehuda Newman will say a few words on their research on the Strike at 6:15 pm.

A panel presentation, “A History of Student Activism in and beyond Madison”, featuring UW faculty, students, and alumni will take place in the BioCommons following the Open House from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. The panel presentation is sponsored by the Teaching Assistants Association (TAA) as part of the National Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action – Madison.
