Happy Summer!

I’m participating in the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section (RBMS) conference this week (June 18-21), and staying on for a few days of ALA. During my time here I’ll be sporting one of our buttons.

We are hiring! Be sure to check the Libraries’ news pages to know about the positions we will be recruiting for soon. As you attend conferences or other professional networking opportunities this summer, please spread the word that we are looking for people to join our team.  If you’d like to help us find wonderful new colleagues, contact Meghan Gauger and she’ll send you a button and a handout with information about our openings. Successful recruitments often are initiated through in-person connection and word-of-mouth, so please help by sharing news of our openings in your professional networks.

I recently submitted our Annual Report to the Provost’s office, highlighting GLS accomplishments achieved this past year and looking ahead to the opportunities we have moving forward. You can find a copy of the report on the Libraries’ Strategic Planning and Priorities webpage.
