Introduction to OER: A Library Brown Bag

- Library workers are encouraged to attend this Introductory presentation on open educational resources, the history of the open education movement, current issues, and the role of the OER Librarian.
Textbook (In)affordability Student Panel
- Wednesday, March 4, 2020
- Steenbock Library | BioCommons | 4:00pm-5:30pm
- Student leaders, librarians, and faculty members will be in conversation around textbook affordability and explore open educational resources as an alternative to high cost materials. Students will have the opportunity to write postcards to instructors to express the negative impact of expensive textbooks on their lives.
Open Textbook “Farmers’ Market”

#TextbookWoes Social Media Campaign

- We want to hear about student experiences with expensive textbooks. How have they impacted academic success? Other areas of life? We’re encouraging students to post to social media using the hashtag #TextbookWoes and we’ll highlight their stories. For anonymity, students can direct message us at @UWOERLibrarian
