Libraries operations for Fall 2021 Finals
The Libraries will continue to provide support for our students, faculty, and staff throughout the finals period.
Some hours for locations and services may change as we adjust to provide additional support during finals, specifically extended hours at College, Memorial, and Steenbock.
Most library services no longer require an appointment, including access to collections, study spaces, small-group study, computer labs, printing, and scanning.
- Reservations for study rooms continue to be required.
- Pickup by Appointment continues to be offered as a pickup option.
- Face coverings are required in indoor spaces on the UW–Madison campus, including all libraries.

Please remember that a face covering is required in all buildings on campus. Note the current Dane County Public Order states that “a face-covering does not include bandanas, single layer neck gaiters, face shields, goggles, scarves, ski masks, balaclavas, shirt or sweater collars pulled up over the mouth and nose, or masks with slits, exhalation valves, or punctures.”
