Let’s Fill the Hill
What “hatched” as a student prank has grown into a beloved tradition. Now, get ready for our 10th annual day of giving and goofiness! Starting at 5 p.m. on October 20, Badgers and friends around the world will fill Bascom Hill with pink lawn flamingos. For 24 hours, every gift the UW receives will add one flamingo to our fabulous flock. Join the celebration and help support the life-changing power of a UW education!
Fill the Hill is a perfect opportunity to show your support for the UW-Madison Libraries!

Why Support the Libraries?
When John Walker decided to pursue a master’s degree in 2020, it had been eight years since he completed his undergraduate degree. The transition proved challenging due to the pandemic and closure of many campus buildings.
John soon found support at one of the few places still open: the UW–Madison Libraries. Utilizing our Library by Appointment services, he accessed resources he needed while staying safe.
Although normal operations have resumed, the Libraries are still central to Badgers getting work done.
“It’s the place of gathering. Libraries are forums of community itself. These are the places where information is gathered, and people come to disseminate that information. It very much becomes the axis in which a community can operate.” — John Walker
A donation will empower the world-class education and scholarship at UW–Madison. When you give to the UW–Madison Libraries, you support student success. Please join us in this important mission!
