College Library Semester Start-Up!

Start your semester off right with opportunities to connect with library staff, DesignLab, Software Training for Students (STS), and other learning support services. Snacks, prizes, and more will be provided! And while you’re here, catch a mini-workshop to learn better study skills.

College Library is hosting this Wisconsin Welcome event for students to learn about the various learning support services available to help you be successful in your classes. Offered early in the semester, before midterms, finals, or due dates for big class projects, this is an opportunity to get some hands-on skills to support your coursework and to learn about the resources you can use throughout the academic year. Meet tutors from the many learning centers on campus and find out how they can support you. With music, games, free food, and prizes, you can have fun while you learn!
20-minute mini-workshops include:
- Note-taking – (GUTS): 4:30-4:50 and 5:30-5:50
- Time management – (GUTS): 5:00-5:20 and 6:00-6:20
- Visual design basics – (DesignLab): 4:30-4:50 and 6:30-6:50
Software Training for Students offers a regular series of workshops in College Library. Join the Resume Building with Canva workshop during the event (5:30 – 6:30), and see the full STS schedule for additional topics.
