BuckySubmit

Bucky Submit

BuckySubmit is a one-stop service that submits researchers’ papers to their funders’ institutional repositories. It’s a fast and easy way for federal awardees to meet public access to publications compliance requirements.

NOTICE

The recent implementation of new requirements by the DOE, NIH, NSF and several other funders eliminating the use of embargoed access to author accepted manuscripts (AAM) is generating questions about how publishers and publication agreements will change and under what circumstances authors will need to pay a fee for full open access publishing. We are available to help with your concerns. For questions about the impact of the zero-embargo policy on public access compliance, please contact Ryan Schryver at publicaccess@wisc.edu. Questions regarding publisher policies and publication agreements, please contact Carrie Nelson at carrie.nelson@wisc.edu.

How to Submit a Manuscript

  1. Fill out this brief form with award and manuscript information. Note: The NSF does not permit 3rd party submissions. See our NSF Submission Essentials page for more information.
  2. Deposit the author accepted or open access manuscript. We cannot submit copyrighted versions of papers without journal or publisher permission. Tip: Authors can often find copies of their manuscript versions in the journal or publisher’s submission system. See our location guide for help.
  3. Deposit any figures, tables, videos or supplementary information mentioned in the manuscript. (Image formats supported: jpeg, png, gif, tiff, bmp)
  4. You will receive an on-screen message indicating a complete submission. A confirmation note or additional information request will be sent to your email within 24 hours of submission.
