The Department of Special Collections reading room and exhibit area will be closed November 23-25, 2022. We will resume our normal hours of Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM, on Monday, November 28. See our reading room and exhibit area hours for more information.

Shown above is a detail of leaves on the forest floor from the hinged box cover of Apparat fur Spritz-Malerei (Munich: W. & S. B. Fabrik-Zeichen,1890). This crafting set, acquired through the Fuller Fund, was intended to teach the user how to create spray or splatter stenciling from nature.
