What’s happening at Steenbock? Building Updates

UW-Madison Libraries are excited to announce that two active learning classrooms will be added to Steenbock Library’s first floor.

As part of this renovation process, we are relocating collections within the building and to the Verona Shelving Facility. As shifting of materials can generate concern, we want to share our approach to making decisions about the collection. Please visit our library space updates page for a description of these materials and the decisions made about their location. We intend our collections to remain accessible unless they are actively in the process of being moved.

Library users will be able to request retrieval of items from the shelving facility by placing a request from the library catalog record to the item. Digitized copies of articles or book chapters can also be provided upon request. Learn more about requesting materials.
