Join us to hear Ron McCrea, the senior news editor at the Capital Times, speak about his new book, Building Taliesin, while sitting in Frank Lloyd Wright’s very own architectural design: the First Unitarian’s Meeting House. McCrea relies on letters, memoirs, and contemporary documents to portray the fascinating story of how the first Taliesin, which was to become Wright’s principal residence, was built. In addtion, a stunning assemblage of photographs – many of which have never before been published – taken by Wright’s associates show rare views of Taliesin under construction and illustrate Wright’s own recollections of his first summer there and the craftsmen who worked on the site.
McCrea’s book will be available for purchase.
